On the evening of December 19, 2020, the School of Political Science and Public Administration held its New Year’s Gala at Huiwen South Building, with the theme of “Praise for the 120-year-old Shandong University, and chase our dream in the School of Political Science and Public Administration”. Cao Xianqiang, Vice President of Qingdao Campus and Executive Vice Dean of the school, Gai Yuqiang, Secretary of the Party Committee in the school, Vice Dean Li Jishi, Sang Weilin and Shi Ying, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee in the college, Yu Ling, Secretary of the Youth League Committee, postgraduate counselor Yang Chunlin, undergraduate counselor Zang Lili and other teachers attended the gala.

At the beginning of the gala, New Year’s wishes from college leaders, counselors, postgraduates, undergraduates, guards, and dorm aunties were delivered in the form of videos. Then came the award ceremony after the opening performance. Representatives of the advanced class of the school, national scholarship recipients, principal scholarship recipients, outstanding students of “The Power of Example”, and recipients of Ethical Leadership Awards went to the stage to accept their award.

Afterwards, Cao Xianqiang addressed how in the past year students in the School of Political Science and Public Administration had striven for excellence and won honor. The school expressed its heartfelt gratitude to everyone and wished all faculty members and students enjoy the night and have a happy new year.

In the performance segment, undergraduates and postgraduates presented various wonderful performances. The performances were followed by a lucky draw.

The gala ended with a performance of the song Love Each Other. The gala showed the positive spiritual outlook of students as well as unity and cohesion of the whole school. The school wishes all the students to never forget why they started, to strive for progress, and to work hard to achieve their dreams.
