MPA students in the School of Political Science and Public Administration won the third prize at the 5th National Postgraduate Public Administration Case Competition

The final of the 5th National Postgraduate Public Administration Case Study Competition was recently held at Hainan University, and the team Striving for Perfection from the School of Political Science and Public Administration won the third prize in the contest.

Coached by Professor Sun Zongfeng and Professor Ma Ben, the team Striving for Perfection consisted of Su Yundong, Zhang Shuaigang, Wang Xiaolin, Li Xiaopeng and Li Zhenqian. Since the launch of the competition in September 2020 the team had conducted field investigations and obtained abundant first-hand information. Through writing separately, group discussion, theoretical analysis and model experiments, they finally finished their work From Abandoned Buildings to Academician Park: An Emerging Ambition for Talents of Grassroots Leaders, and successfully entered the top 100 in the preliminary contest. The team was highly commended by the judges and other contestants for its excellent work, and it won the third prize in the final competition.

Shandong University has performed well in the National Postgraduate Public Administration Case Competition over the last four years, a reflection of the quality of the Shandong University MPA program. This performance has also helped promote case teaching methods and improve students practical ability.
