Content:

Social Reference Theory, also known as Social Relativity Theory, is proposed on the basis that people’s cognition is based on the reference point, and there is no cognition without the reference point. If the reference point changes, the cognition will change. If the two sides have different opinions, most likely they have a different reference point. Social Reference Theory mainly includes three core concepts: reference point, situation and social reference analysis. Social Reference Theory has its profound theoretical origin and practice foundation. Its theory and method are different from the Subject Theory of Western Sociology. Social Reference Theory is a thinking pattern and a sociological theory that has practical significance and can be popularised, which is expected to become a sociological analysis paradigm coexisting with Sociology Subject Theory.
