On the afternoon of September 9th, the School of Political Science and Public Administration (SPSPA) held the opening ceremony for freshman and their parents in the lecture hall of Huiwen North Building. Professor Cao Xianqiang, Vice President of Shandong University (Qingdao) and Executive Vice Dean of the SPSPA, Professor Daniel A. Bell, Dean of the SPSPA, Professor Gai Yuqiang, Secretary of the CPC Committee of the SPSPA, Professor Ma Ben, Liu Changming, Li Jishi and Kong Lingfeng, Deputy Dean of the School, Shi Ying, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Committee of the SPSPA, together with parents and students attended the meeting, which was host by Sang Weilin, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee of the SPSPA.
Dean Daniel Bell introduced the active learning atmosphere and beautiful landscapes， wishing the freshman to have a full and colorful campus life.
Professor Liu Changming and Professor Li Jishi introduced the details about the cultivation of postgraduate programs, undergraduate training and exchange opportunities. Then, the heads of each department shared the history, academic achievements, future development and the composition of each department.
Professor Cao Xianqiang pointed out that, the goal of our school is to make the undergraduates the best and the postgraduates the most creative, and to provide better training methods by cross-school cooperation. He also encouraged students to focus on the intersection and integration of disciplines to contribute to the development of the school and Shandong University.
