The Third China Social Risk Management Forum was successfully held.

On November 24th , the third China Social risk Governance High-level Forum was held at Shandong University (Qingdao). The theme of the forum is "New technological Progress and Social risk Governance". At the fourth Plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee, which recently concluded, it stressed the great significance and overall requirements of adhering to and perfecting the socialist system with Chinese characteristics and promoting the modernization of the national governance system and governance ability, which provided a new and important guiding direction for national governance and social risk management. The purpose of this forum is to thoroughly implement the spirit of the fourth Plenary session of the 19th CPC Central Committee and the important speech of General Secretary Xi Jinping on preventing and resolving major risks, and to have a deep understanding of the international environment. The new situation, new problems, new challenges, overall development and security of environmental change and domestic reform and development are discussed, and the social risks and governance brought about by the application of new technological progress are discussed.

The keynote speech was presided over by Professor Cao Xiqiang, Vice President of Qingdao Campus of Shandong University and Executive Vice President of School of political Science and Public Administration of Shandong University. Ding Hui, president of Northern University of Technology, shared his understanding of emerging technology risks and modern governance. Professor Zhu Zhengwei of Xi'an Jiaotong University introduced how "resilience management" has become a new path of risk and emergency management and its application in practice. Wang Xieqing, director of the School of behavior and big data, School of Public Administration, Tsinghua University, revealed the role and influence of big data on the risk assessment of public policy. Vice Dean, School of political Science and Public Administration, Shandong University, risk Management, Shandong University Professor Ma Ben, director of the Center for Management and Emergency Management, described the risk challenges and governance of the fourth Industrial Revolution. Huang Daoli, director of three network security legal research centers of the Ministry of Public Security, shared the strategic considerations of artificial intelligence affecting data security and the rule of law. Professor Zou Dongsheng, director of the China Social Stability and crisis Management Research Center of Southwest University of political Science and Law and vice president of the School of Politics and Public Administration of Southwest University of political Science and Law, described the construction and significance of the risk assessment of social stability in "evidence-based" major administrative decisions.

Major social risk prevention and resolution is an important guarantee for China to continue to maintain sustainable and healthy economic development and overall social stability. China's High-level Forum on Social Risk Governance has been continuously concerned with the frontier field of social risk. It has held two sessions and achieved great achievements. The third high-level forum of social risk management in China won the strong support of Shandong Provincial Committee of Political and Legal Committee, sponsored by China Social Assessment and Research Center of Tsinghua University, and organized by Shandong University College of Political Science and Public Management and Risk Management and Emergency Management Center of Shandong University.
