Master’s students from SPSPA won the second prize in China’s Public Policy Case Analysis Competition held by Tsinghua University

On Aug.17, 2019, China’s Public Policy Case Analysis Competition was held in lecture hall of the School of Public Administration, Tsinghua University. After four years of selection, from the primaries to the finals, two teams from SPSPA both successfully entered the final section, competing with other teams from Tsinghua, Peking, Renmin Uni as well as National School of Administration.

The final comprised of two parts, presentation and defense. The team from SPSPA were well prepared by multiple rehearsals. All of them showed excellent articulation in presentation and showed clear logic in the defense, which attracted them much attention from the judges.

In the end, the team whose member includes Zhang Yushan, Hu Junxia, Ma Xiqing, Gao Tianyi and Liu Limin won the second prize in the Master’s group with their work concerned with Children’s enrollment in compulsory education. This team was supervised by Prof. Lou Suping and Sun Zongfeng. The other team “REFRESH” got the honorable mention in this group.

The competition attracted teams from 131 Universities of both Bachelor’s and Master’s levels this year. Through tough selection, 18 teams of bachelor’s and 15 teams of master’s entered in the final stage. Since its foundation in 2016, SDU have encouraged its students to get into the competition, and under this stimulus, over 50 students have participated in this event and won prizes. In the future, the School would continue supporting and encouraging more students to join in academic innovation and extra-curricula practices so as to broaden their views and career path.
